I was very lucky on this one, i managed to shoot that huge storm without being soaked ! I decided to go testing my new Sigma 10-20 lens that evening when i saw big dark clouds coming from the west. I didn’t know if i would have the time to get enough pics before the [...]

Berder island’s flooding waters

HD Version at Vimeo
Berder is a little island located in the morbihan gulf. It is only accessible when the water is low, thus everyday lots of people wait for the passage to appear…and if you’re not careful enough you can be trapped on the island by the flooding waters ! The current is powerful, so it can [...]

The Trees

Helped by Romain my brother-in-law ( thanks !! ;-) ), i tried to use 4m rails but it didn’t work :( , too bad…but i’ll try again !!! Time was running, so i tried to catch some sunset clouds throw trees with conventional 2m rails. The scene had a huge dynamic range, so i wasn’t [...]

The Other Lake

This shot was taken in august by a hot afternoon, heavy clouds running from the west, annoucing a storm to come :-)
Looking for a place with water i stoped near a farm and managed to find a decent place to put my tripod. Suddenly a hurdy-gurdy woman appeared, arguing i was on her property, asking [...]

The Old Stake

This place is located in the natural park of Perseigne in Normandy. I was in search of a good sight to make some panoramic time lapse tests when i found this old stake covered with ivy. Who knows how old it is…30, 50 years or even more ?

The Halloween Tree

This tree is too weird to be true : if you observe closely you’ll see some branches look like a Small body attached right on the left side of the trunk, very disturning…

The Autumn

Autumn is defenitely not my prefered season, but there is something special about it…colors, weird light & dead leaves make landscapes seem unreal. It has been a long time since my last motorized shot, only ”silent hill” style weather :( i couldn’t even see clouds in the washed out sky, a cloud appreciation society heresy !!! - not better [...]

The Station

This transit station takes care of industrial matters, lots af wagons here, waiting for a railwayman…I find colors in this shot are sharp, contrasts between wagons, grass, pylons & roads shock the eye (don’t they ?), i used stairs right next to the railway to get this sight. A railwayman suddently came to tell me i [...]

The Sunset

Time lapse is a patience game. Clouds are wild, light is never the same, and you must compose with luck to get the good shot…sometimes it happens :D !!!
The field

After many improvements made on my motorized system i managed to shoot this clip…the camera starts in the grass and flies over the field on sunset. The movement is smoother & twice slower than in precedent motorized shots, and i think the effect looks better now…

The next step for me now is to manage to [...]

The tide

These swamps, located in the Morbihan gulf, get filled by water twice a day. I captured the frames during the evening high tide…the effect is impressive at this speed (3 hours in 20 sec.) with a cool water reflections HDR rendering.

The clip is composed of about 600 images, 1 every 20 sec.
